Frequently asked questions

Care instructions - Jewelry

Though I do seal my jewelry pieces before sending them to their forever homes, the sealant inevitably will wear off after a while. If the piece has a patina (black or darkened/antiqued copper), the patina will rub off after some time, particularly on rings because of how much more wear and tear they endure. To avoid degradation of color and sealant, do not get your jewelry wet!

Custom and personalized orders

I am no longer accepting custom jewelry orders, however if you are in search of a specific plant please message me and if I have it available, can do a fresh cutting or root it for you prior to transit.

What if my plant arrives and looks dead?

Please send detailed photos of your plant within 12 hours of receiving it, so that we can determine how to proceed.
PLEASE BE AWARE leaf loss & shipping damage are normal!! There may be some yellowing, creasing, etc. as a result of being packaged in a box for a few days putting stress on the plant.
Though what happens after the package leaves my hands is out of my control, a plant that declines in shipping, and delivery was not delayed, may be eligible for a replacement if available.
If the shipment was delayed or package was severely damaged, a claim can be filed with USPS. All orders come insured at price.

My plant has some cosmetic damage from shipping, is this normal?

I try to avoid this in my packaging in every way possible, though if there is cosmetic damage to the plant from shipping, this is completely normal and will not effect the health of the plant. Plants are gently wrapped in paper or corrugated board (on a case by case basis) and cushioned with polyfill to help protect the leaves, though it is obviously unnatural for the plant to be packaged in a box, so some minor creasing may occur in certain plants.
That said, PLEASE BE CAREFUL UNBOXING YOUR PLANT, particularly with scissors, so as not to cut any leaves, etc. I suggest gently removing the tape or tearing the paper rather than cutting through it, as this can cause leaves to be cut accidentally.

Will my plant look different that it does in the listing?

The only thing that may look different on your new plant from the photographs in the listing is potential new growth!
If any undesirable changes occur with the plant (such as shedding old leaves, etc.) I promptly update the listing with a new photo. I don't do this as much with new growth, though over time I will post updated photos.
I DO NOT intentionally alter the appearance of your plant prior to shipping for any reason.
